Salary: £44,000 per annum
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend
Hours: 35 hours per week
Glenala Education is seeking an experienced Academic Accreditation and Awards Manager to lead the management and development of our accredited qualifications and awards provision.
We currently offer qualifications through Qualifications Scotland and are looking for an experienced education professional who can both manage our existing awarding body requirements and help us expand our portfolio by identifying and developing relationships with other awarding organisations across the UK.
This is a varied senior role covering accreditation, quality assurance, awarding body relationships, learner certification and graduation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Glenala Education's existing relationship and provision with Qualifications Scotland.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with centre approval, qualification approval and quality assurance requirements.
- Oversee internal and external verification and associated quality processes.
- Research awarding bodies and recognised qualifications across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland that may be suitable for Glenala Education.
- Assess new opportunities based on demand, reputation, accreditation requirements, costs and commercial viability.
- Prepare recommendations and business cases for new awarding body partnerships and qualifications.
- Manage the full centre and qualification approval process with new awarding organisations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with awarding body representatives, external verifiers and quality assurance personnel.
- Oversee learner registrations, certification and academic award processes.
- Maintain effective systems for accreditation, compliance and academic records.
- Support the development and expansion of Glenala Education's qualification portfolio.
- Plan and manage graduation and awards ceremonies, including graduate eligibility, certificates, venues, invitations, suppliers and ceremony arrangements.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on accreditation, quality, certification and new development opportunities.
About You
· You must be qualified to degree level
· Have a strong research background
· Work well as a team member and as an individual
· Experience within an educational setting
· The ability to interpret awarding body regulations and manage approval processes.
· Strong written, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
· The ability to independently manage projects from initial research through to implementation is an an advantage
