Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and preparing garnishes under supervision.
- Support the kitchen team in receiving deliveries, checking stock levels, and storing ingredients properly to ensure freshness and safety.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to keep the kitchen environment clean and environmentally friendly.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and correctly, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Support serving staff during busy service times by helping to clear tables or replenish supplies as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures is advantageous.
- Experience in customer service or serving roles can be beneficial for understanding hospitality standards.
