Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Handle food production tasks including butchery, food preparation, and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, culinary roles, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience with butchery, food preparation, or specialised culinary techniques is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A genuine passion for cooking and continuous learning within the culinary arts
- Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in food safety are preferred but not essential
