Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Loading Shovel Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty loading shovels to efficiently move materials, manage stockpiles, and load bulk tipper lorries.
Duties
- Operate a loading shovels with precision and transport materials across the site
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal performance
- Assist with the movement of bulk recycled materials in a safe manner
- Follow all safety protocols and site procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate material handling activities efficiently
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and material movements
- Support site logistics by preparing materials for delivery or dispatch as required
Experience
- Proven experience of operating a loading shovel in a industrial setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina and attention to detail
