Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the needs of our residents in a caring environment, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills to foster a positive atmosphere for our residents. Previous experience in care settings or home care is advantageous and easy travel to the home.
It may be worth noting that this is our residents home, we respect that. We do not rush our residents, we respect them and promote their independence, treating them kindly.
Duties
- Support residents with personal care routines such as toileting, washing and dressing when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding our residents wellbeing.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each residents needs.
- Use the electronic system to record observations and care and support given.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a care home or similar setting is preferred.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication with residents, families, visitors and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and completing documentation efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to work flexibly within scheduled hours, demonstrating organisation and reliability.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting health and wellbeing.
Pay: £13.75 per hour
