We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Worcester Lodge Care Home to help provide the highest possible standards for our residents in a safe, supportive and friendly environment.
Your Role
- Deliver and serve food that is prepared from an outside source. Frozen foods are delivered to a high standard. We need you to make sure it makes its way to the plate in the same way. Presentation being key. Following fantastic training you will be equipped to succeed.
- You will undertake all cleaning duties in the kitchen area to include dirty crockery washing up and storage. General cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen area, equipment and appliances.
- Understanding the cleaning requirement of different surfaces and equipment. To ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained.
- You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within all areas of the kitchen.
- You will be expected to adhere to our Infection Control Policy, follow instructions and work safely within company policies, seeking advice and guidance when necessary.
- We encourage you to develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and other visitors to the home by becoming an integral part of the team
Any knowledge or experience of working in relevant areas are of benefit however not essential as all necessary training will be given.
