Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support within a busy legal practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office, assisting lawyers with case management, and maintaining excellent client relations. Duties
- Proofreading, and managing legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail
- Organising and maintaining case files, schedules, and court dates to ensure timely submissions and deadlines are met
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients via phone, email, or in person, ensuring their queries are addressed promptly and professionally
- Managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings for legal staff
- Conducting basic analysis of legal information to assist lawyers in case preparation
- Handling administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document retrieval efficiently
- Liaising with external agencies, courts, and clients to facilitate communication and document exchange
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
Requirements
- Proven administrative experience within a legal environment is preferred but not essential; strong organisational skills are mandatory
- Outstanding customer service abilities to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal management software is advantageous
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a professional manner
