We are a privately owned group of businesses operating across hospitality, IT consultancy, financial services and property. Our businesses include a successful restaurant in Blackpool along with several other established companies.
As the group continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance & Bookkeeping Administrator to take ownership of day-to-day financial administration across multiple companies.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in maintaining accurate records, and wants a role that offers flexibility and autonomy.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of several small-to-medium-sized businesses within the group.
Working closely with the directors, you will ensure records are accurate, up-to-date and ready for VAT returns, management reporting and year-end accounts preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase ledger management
- Sales ledger management
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Processing invoices and receipts
- Credit control and debtor management
- Preparing payment runs
- VAT return preparation and submission
- Payroll and pension administration
- Maintaining accurate accounting records
- Assisting with monthly management accounts
- Supporting year-end account preparation
- General financial administration
- Liaison with external accountants, HMRC and other stakeholders as required
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous bookkeeping or finance administration experience
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping
- Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero preferred)
- Good understanding of VAT
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Confident using Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
Desirable Skills
- AAT qualification (or working towards)
- Experience preparing management accounts
- Multi-company bookkeeping experience
- Experience within hospitality, retail or e-commerce businesses
- Payroll experience

Pay: £15.00-£22.00 per hour
