We’re recruiting for a committed and customer focused Parts Advisor & Ecommerce Coordinator for our Leeds Harley Davidson branch.
Location: Leeds LS12 2UA
Hours: Tuesday – Friday 9am-6pm + Saturday 9am-5pm
Salary: £26,000-£29,000 depending on experience
About the role
Harley Davidson Parts Advisor & Ecommerce Coordinator will play a vital role in the daily managing of our online and in stock parts stock as well as assisting customers.
You will own the physical flow of stock from the moment a delivery lands — booking it in, checking it, and splitting it correctly between customer orders, workshop jobs and shelf stock — and the customer side of that same flow: answering order queries, chasing backorders and resolving problems before they turn into complaints or negative reviews.
Alongside that, you'll help us sell what's already on the shelf. Ageing and slow-moving stock is real money sitting still, and you'll have a direct hand in shifting it through online listings, promotions and in-store display.
You will be a fantastic team player with great interpersonal skills and a positive can do attitude. High levels of organisation and attention to detail are required, as well as the ability to work well under pressure while delivering excellent customer service.
Day-to-day duties
Goods-in and allocation
- Receive and book in all inbound parts deliveries, checking quantities and condition against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Correctly allocate every incoming line: customer sold orders, workshop / service jobs, or free stock
- Pick, pack and dispatch online orders accurately and on time
- Raise and resolve discrepancies, shortages and damages with suppliers promptly
- Process returns, warranty parts and supplier credits
Customer support
- Handle inbound customer contact across email, phone, live chat and marketplace messaging — order status, delivery chasers, fitment questions and problems
- Proactively contact customers on backordered, delayed or discontinued lines rather than waiting for them to chase
- Investigate and resolve order issues: wrong part supplied, missing items, damage in transit, incorrect fitment
- Support the workshop and front counter with parts identification and availability
- Protect our review scores by resolving issues quickly and fairly
Stock management and promotion
- Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts, bin location discipline and prompt system updates
- Identify ageing, obsolete and slow-moving stock and drive it out through pricing, bundles, listings and promotions
- Create and improve online listings — accurate titles, descriptions, fitment data and images
- Merchandise the retail display and keep in-store stock visible, priced and tidy
- Feed back to the buyer on what's selling, what isn't, and what customers are asking for that we don't stock
What success looks like in the first six months
- Deliveries are booked in the day they arrive, with correct allocation
- Online orders dispatch within the advertised SLA
- Customers are told about delays before they have to ask
- Stock file accuracy is measurably improved and bin locations are trustworthy
- A visible reduction in the value of stock over 12 months old
