We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our friendly HR team on a full-time, permanent basis at our Colchester Campus.

About the Role
As an HR Business Partner, you'll work closely with managers across designated curriculum and business support areas, providing expert HR advice and practical people solutions that support organisational objectives.
You'll be a trusted partner, coaching managers, leading on complex employee relations matters, supporting organisational change, and helping to create a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the dedicated HR Business Partner for designated departments, delivering proactive, professional HR support.
- Advising and coaching managers on all aspects of employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance management, sickness absence and attendance management.
- Supporting workforce planning and helping managers develop effective people strategies.
- Leading and supporting organisational change projects, including restructures, consultations, redundancy and redeployment processes.
- Analysing HR data and workforce trends to identify opportunities for improvement and support informed decision-making.
- Supporting the review and development of HR policies and ensuring compliance with employment law and HR best practice.
- Designing and delivering HR training, guidance and management toolkits.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the HR team to drive continuous improvement and contribute to strategic HR projects.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys partnering with managers, solving people challenges and building positive working relationships across the organisation.
You'll have:
- Significant experience working as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, People Partner or in a similar HR Generalist role.
- Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases, organisational change and performance management.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience using HR data and insights to support business decisions and improve organisational performance.
- Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to influence, challenge and support managers at all levels.
Essential Qualifications
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience).
