Job Summary
Pukka Pads 2000 Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead our warehouse and logistics operation in Bingley.
This is a hands-on management role responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse while delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining excellent stock accuracy and driving continuous operational improvement. You will lead and develop the warehouse team, manage logistics providers and ensure all operations are carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Manage all warehouse activities, including Goods In, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch and returns.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time.
- Plan and allocate labour and resources effectively to meet operational demands.
- Monitor warehouse capacity and optimise storage utilisation.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation.
- Ensure warehouse procedures and processes are followed consistently.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
- Manage recruitment, induction and ongoing training.
- Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
- Manage attendance, conduct and performance in line with company policies.
Inventory Management
- Maintain high levels of stock accuracy.
- Manage the cycle counting programme.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded within the ERP/WMS system.
Logistics
- Manage relationships with transport providers.
- Monitor carrier performance and service levels.
- Identify opportunities to improve service and reduce transport costs.
Health & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the warehouse.
- Carry out workplace inspections and accident investigations where required.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained and operated safely.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review warehouse layouts and processes to improve efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational performance.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in a warehouse management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practice.
- Experience managing inventory and stock accuracy.
- Good understanding of transport and logistics operations.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Experience using ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Reach Truck and/or Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) certification.
- Experience of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
