Kitchen Assistant
Birdie’s Kitchen is an all day licensed café based at the South Devon Railway in Buckfastleigh, offering a wide range of grab and go and seated food options in a wonderful setting catering for up to 100y,000 visitors a year. We are open 7 days a week daytime.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team with an immediate start. It would be a bonus if you have experience working in a similar role and be able to prepare and cook a range of short order meals in a timely fashion. We are happy to train someone who loves cooking is enthusiastic and willing to work hard.
Daily duties would include making sandwiches, paninis, preparing dishes for service, salads and will be trained when confident to make tray bakes.
Flexibility, positivity, team spirit essential for all these roles as is a willingness to work weekends. The food offering is creative, serving quality dishes that showcase the best locally sourced ingredients.
