Responsibilities:
- To be part of a small team on 1 day on, 2 day off rolling rota, basis to provide support for our young people, (9am through to 9am the following day, with a sleep in).
- To provide the highest quality of support to young people, aged between 16-18 years old, in accordance with their individual care plan and the organisations Policies, Procedures and Practices.
- To help and support young people to achieve their potential in relation to education, independence, health and social skills.
- To provide young people with positive role modelling.
- To build positive relationships with young people based on mutual respect and trust.
- To support young people in the implementation of an individual programme of independence preparation.
- To safeguard all young people within their home and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
- To help create a supportive, nurturing environment.
- To accurately record entries in the young persons records, diaries and reports as necessary in accordance with the organisations Policies and Procedures.
- To carry out sleep-in duties in accordance with the agreed rota.
- To ensure we are able to provide the best possible levels of support to our young people, you will be expected to participate in mandatory training.
- Hourly rate and sleep in is paid for each of the 24 hours of the shift, £320 per day worked.
- You would be working at our Paignton provision.
About You
- Ideally to have experience working in a similar Ofsted/CQC regulated setting with a positive 'can do attitude' and a willingness to work with young people.
- Ideally the successful Candidate would hold a Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or the equivalent), or demonstrate a commitment to obtain this.
- The ability to work with others, approachable, honest and reliable.
- Hold the necessary documentation to be able to work in the UK.
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
