Role Overview
We are looking for a responsible and attentive Door Supervisor to help maintain the safety and security of our venue, staff, and guests. The successful candidate will be observant, level-headed, and committed to ensuring a secure and welcoming environment. This role offers the chance to work as part of a professional team focused on customer safety and positive visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise entry and exit points, carrying out appropriate checks on individuals entering the premises
- Maintain a visible presence to discourage unauthorised access and inappropriate behaviour
- Monitor activity using surveillance tools, including CCTV systems
- Identify and respond to suspicious behaviour to support loss prevention efforts
- Act promptly during incidents, including administering first aid when required
- Enforce venue rules, policies, and legal requirements consistently
- Accurately document incidents and communicate with relevant authorities when necessary
- Support crowd management during busy periods or events to ensure safety and order
Requirements & Skills
- Previous experience in security or a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory; training can be provided
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance practices is an advantage
- First aid certification or willingness to complete training is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify risks quickly
- Clear and professional communication skills, both spoken and written
- Ability to stay calm, professional, and diplomatic in challenging situations
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and managing crowd interactions effectively
