Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bodyshop Manager to lead our workshop operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily body repair activities, coordinate with technicians and suppliers, and ensure the delivery of exceptional service. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold safety standards, and maintain the highest quality of repairs for our valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily body shop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs
- Coordinate with technicians to assign tasks based on skill levels and workload demands
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper handling of tools and heavy lifting procedures
- Monitor inventory levels of hand tools, power tools, and repair parts, placing orders as needed
- Conduct quality checks on completed repairs to meet company standards and customer satisfaction
- Lead training sessions to enhance team skills in mechanical knowledge and tool usage
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, safety awareness, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing a body shop or similar automotive repair facility
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand repair processes and technical terminology
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily operations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in quality control and record keeping
- Relevant certifications or training in automotive repair or shop management are a plus
