Multi Skilled Engineer

I'm looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a busy, highly automated manufacturing site in the St Neots area.
This is a proper hands-on engineering role. You'll be working across a modern production environment, dealing with everything from breakdowns and planned maintenance through to fault finding, improvements and new equipment.
Day to day role:
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Working with PLCs, contactors, relays and safety circuits
- Dismantling, repairing and reassembling production equipment
- Identifying ways to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Working closely with production teams to reduce downtime and improve OEE
- Completing maintenance and breakdown reports
- Working with contractors and other technical teams when required
- Fabrication and general engineering work where needed
- Supporting a strong continuous improvement culture
Ideally, you'll have:
- NVQ Level 3 or higher
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Good mechanical engineering knowledge
- Experience maintaining automated or production machinery preferable
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- The ability to work independently but also as part of a wider engineering team
