Operating primarily across London and the South East, we specialise in maintaining and improving commercial plant rooms, district heating networks, communal heating systems, residential developments, civic centres, office blocks, schools, and other public-sector facilities.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas & HIU Supervisor to oversee a team of Commercial Gas and HIU Engineers delivering servicing, maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and installations across commercial boiler plant, communal heating systems, and Heat Interface Units (HIUs).
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational performance, technical compliance, quality standards, and customer satisfaction while providing day-to-day leadership and support to field-based engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of Commercial Gas and HIU Engineers operating across London and the South East.
- Coordinate daily workloads, reactive maintenance, servicing schedules, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
- Provide technical support and fault-finding assistance on commercial boilers, plant room equipment, HIUs, and communal heating systems.
- Carry out site audits, quality inspections, toolbox talks, and performance reviews.
- Monitor engineer productivity, compliance, first-time fix rates, and contract KPIs.
- Oversee servicing, maintenance, repair, and replacement of commercial gas appliances and associated heating systems.
- Support engineers with complex diagnostics involving commercial boilers, pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, control valves, actuators, and BMS controls.
