We’re looking for a practical and enthusiastic Maintenance Operative / Grounds Maintenance Team Member to join our friendly team at Patrington Haven Leisure Park.
Set across 40 acres of beautiful East Yorkshire countryside, our award-winning five-star holiday park needs someone who takes pride in keeping everything safe, well-maintained and looking exceptional.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be part of the team that keeps the park running smoothly every day.
With an average team length of service of 11 years, we’re proud to have created a workplace where people enjoy coming to work and build long-term careers.
About the role
No two days are the same. You’ll work across the park carrying out a wide range of maintenance and grounds tasks from moving caravans to fixing fences, from keeping the grounds immaculate to supporting the park’s water and utility systems. Every day is different, and every task matters.
- Safe movement and siting of static caravans
- Grass cutting, strimming, weeding and general grounds upkeep
- Maintaining gardens and outdoor areas to a high standard
- Installing, repairing and maintaining fencing
- Supporting water and utility maintenance
- Carrying out general repairs and handyman tasks
- Using machinery and powered tools safely
- Helping maintain excellent health and safety standards
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to arrive with every skill already in place — we’ll help you build them. The right attitude matters most. We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working outdoors and takes genuine pride in their work
- Is a natural team player — reliable, supportive and easy to work with
- Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Is physically fit and comfortable with active work
- Holds a full UK driving licence
Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, construction, facilities maintenance or a similar outdoor role would be useful — but it’s not essential.
