**General Manager – Sick Coffee, Finnieston & New Location Southside of Glasgow**
1136 Argyle Street, Glasgow
£32,000 – £35,000 + performance-based cash bonus
Full-time, permanent
Closing date: 20th July 2026
**About us**
Sick Coffee is one of Finnieston's most talked-about independent coffee shops. In our first year we've built a loyal following, a 4.6★ rating, and a brand that goes well beyond coffee — our viral matcha cans, espresso tonics and bold flavour combinations have made us a go-to spot for Glasgow's young, style-led crowd. We're growing fast, and we're looking for a General Manager to take the reins of day-to-day operations so the business can scale with confidence.
**The role**
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll own the floor, the team, and the numbers. Day to day, you'll be responsible for:
- Running a high-volume site with consistency, pace and standards
- Stock control, ordering and waste management
- Recruiting, training and developing a team of 6
- Hitting weekly and monthly revenue targets
- Health & safety, food hygiene and compliance — owned by you
- Working closely with ownership on growth, new products and brand activations
**Who we're looking for**
This role is best suited to someone with **structured hospitality management experience** — ideally from a chain or branded operator (Costa, Pret, Caffè Nero, Gail's, Black Sheep, Joe & the Juice, or similar), or a high-volume restaurant background.
You should have:
- Minimum 2 years managing a high-volume hospitality site
- Proven track record with stock management and KPIs
- Experience leading and developing a team
- Confidence with rota software, EPOS systems and reporting
- A calm, professional presence — weekends here are not quiet
- Genuine interest in specialty coffee (we'll teach the product knowledge, but you need to care)
- Comfort with a brand that lives on Instagram and TikTok
**What we offer**
- £32,000–£35,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Cash bonus tied to performance targets
- 28+ days holiday
- Free coffee, matcha and staff meals on shift
- Tronc/tips share
- Genuine career progression as we grow
- A team and brand you'll actually be proud to lead
