Health & Safety Co-ordinator
The Flatrock Group
Full Time | Permanent | Based across our West Wales properties
Are you passionate about health and safety and looking for an opportunity to develop your career within a growing hospitality group?
The Flatrock Group is looking for a proactive, hands-on Health & Safety Co-ordinator to join our team. This is a brand-new role within the business, making it an exciting opportunity for someone with health & safety experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. Whether you're already working in health & safety or looking to progress into a more responsible role, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a varied position that combines compliance, administration and practical maintenance tasks. You'll spend time working across our hotels and venues, supporting managers, carrying out inspections, ensuring legal compliance and helping to maintain a safe environment for both our guests and employees.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out regular health & safety inspections across our group properties.
- Completing, reviewing and updating risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Supporting managers with health & safety compliance and day-to-day queries.
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Ensuring statutory checks, maintenance records and compliance documentation remain up to date.
- Liaising with contractors and external compliance providers.
- Assisting with health & safety training and promoting a positive safety culture across the business.
- Monitoring compliance with company policies and current health & safety legislation.
- Carrying out minor practical tasks where appropriate, such as replacing batteries, tightening door handles, replacing safety signage or identifying small maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous health & safety experience (hospitality experience would be advantageous but is not essential).
- Holds a recognised Health & Safety qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate (or is working towards one).
- Is organised, practical and able to prioritise a varied workload.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Can work independently and use their own initiative.
- Is confident communicating with managers and team members across different departments.
- Enjoys finding practical solutions to problems rather than simply identifying them.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and is able to travel between our group properties.
What we offer:
- Full-time permanent role.
- Competitive salary dependent on experience.
- The opportunity to develop and shape a brand-new position within the business.
- Ongoing training and professional development.
- Company pension.
- Staff discounts across The Flatrock Group.
- A supportive management team with genuine opportunities for progression.
If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same and you can make a real difference across a growing hospitality group, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today with your CV and tell us why you'd be a great addition to The Flatrock Group.
