Rota Coordinator
Location: Leeds (Office Based)
Salary: £26,899.00 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, including participation in an on-call rota.

Moorcare provide high-quality domiciliary care services, supporting people to live independently and safely within their own homes. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Rota Coordinator to join our busy team and ensure the effective scheduling of care services.

The Role
As a Rota Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining staff rotas, ensuring all care visits are covered, and responding to last-minute changes or emergencies. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Create, maintain and update staff rotas.
- Ensure all care visits are allocated and covered appropriately.
- Respond promptly to short-notice staff absences and changes in service requirements.
- Liaise with care staff, clients, families and management teams.
- Monitor staffing levels and identify potential rota gaps.
- Maintain accurate records and update scheduling systems.
- Participate in the on-call rota as required.
- Support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care services.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve scheduling challenges.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Rota Coordinator, Scheduler, Care Coordinator or workforce planning role.
- Experience within domiciliary care, supported living, healthcare or social care.
- Essential: Knowledge and practical experience of using rota coordination/scheduling systems (such as PASS. CM2000, People Planner, Birdie, Access Care Planning, StaffPlan, Rostering Solutions, or similar workforce management systems).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to last-minute changes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and compliance requirements.
- Experience participating in an on-call rota.
- Knowledge of Working Time Regulations and staff availability management.
Please note: Previous experience using electronic rota scheduling systems is essential. Applications from candidates without rota management system experience are unlikely to be shortlisted.
