Responsibilities
- To deliver care to residents as directed by individual care plans, reporting any changes or concerns to the senior member of staff leading the shift.
- Assist the residents in personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toilet needs.
- Make beds and use pressure care aids as directed.
- Assist in the collection of specimens and samples.
- Assist the Nurse on Duty / Shift Leader in maintaining records and care plans on each shift.
- Report any accidents or unexplained injuries immediately to the Nurse on Duty / Shift Leader.
- Respond promptly to resident call bells.
- Act as chaperon for medical and professional staff as and when required.
- Ensure residents are socially presentable in appearance at all times according to their personal requests/choices.
- Ensure residents have any aids, e.g. dentures, hearing aids, spectacles, fitted, cleaned and in working order.
- Help to maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.
- Be helpful and polite to residents and visitors at all times.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Ideally have NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards the qualification.
- Ideally have experience of working with older people.
- A genuine passion for supporting and caring for older people.
- Excellent communication skills

Full and part-time hours, day and night shifts available.
Day shift times are 7:30am to 2pm / 1:30 to 8pm / 7:30am to 8pm
Night shift times are 7:45pm to 8am
The hourly rate is £13:30 for day shifts and £13:50 for night shifts.
You will be required to work weekends on a fortnightly basis.
