ABM Electrical is looking for an experienced and dependable person to join our team in a varied role covering warehouse duties, administration and local deliveries.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the UK wholesale market who enjoys a hands-on position and is comfortable taking responsibility across several areas of a busy branch. Previous electrical wholesale experience would be a strong advantage.
Key responsibilities
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
- Picking and preparing customer orders accurately
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse
- Carrying out general branch administration and data entry
- Preparing paperwork and assisting with stock control
- Delivering orders to customers safely and professionally
- Loading and unloading the delivery vehicle
- Providing helpful, friendly service to customers
- Supporting colleagues with other branch duties when required
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience within the UK wholesale market
- Electrical wholesale experience is preferred
- A full, valid UK driving licence
- A reliable and responsible approach to driving and deliveries
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail
- A positive, flexible and practical attitude
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- The ability to commute reliably to the branch
Some manual handling will be required as part of the warehouse and delivery duties.
