What you’ll be doing:
As Team Leader, you will support our vital care services to elderly and vulnerable people living at our Residential Care Home, Heath Lodge. You will lead a dedicated Care Team while supporting the Registered Manager and Director of Care with planning, assessing and delivering care services to the highest standards.
- Implement care plans and keep risk assessments up to date
- Communicate with the catering team about residents' dietary needs and update them if things change
- Help organise daily tasks and fairly delegate duties to junior staff as directed by management
- Register residents for the services they need
- Take the lead in emergencies such as safeguarding concerns, complaints, accidents or sudden deaths
- Administer medication, order supplies monthly and carry out weekly medication checks
- Support housekeeping tasks during night shifts as needed
- Stay informed about best practices in elderly care
- Follow health and safety policies and work well with other departments
- Be flexible - duties may vary depending on the needs of the service, and you'll be part of the on-call rota
What we need you to bring to our community:
- A minimum of 3 years working within the care sector
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Good people skills with a caring and compassionate nature
- Great organisational skills, staying calm under pressure
- A positive, professional, and proactive approach
- Experience with creating care plans
- A confident leader, driven by values
- A valid UK driving licence
- You will be aligned to the organisations Visons and Values.
