Job Summary
The Senior Chef de Partie is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes, and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to restaurant standards.
- Manage a designated section (e.g., grill, pastry, sauce, larder).
- Ensure dishes are prepared with consistent quality, taste, and presentation.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and cooking techniques.
Section Management
- Set up and stock the station with necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to supervisors.
- Assist in menu planning and development when required.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP standards.
- Keep the station clean, sanitized, and audit-ready at all times.
Teamwork & Communication
- Support junior kitchen staff and provide guidance when needed.
- Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
- Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service.
Quality & Efficiency
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Assist with stock rotation and waste reduction.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and kitchen performance.
Qualifications & RequirementsEssential
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen processes and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and passion for food.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Culinary degree or diploma.
- Experience in a high-volume or fine-dining environment.
- Knowledge of modern cooking methods and international cuisines.
