Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive English lessons that align with curriculum standards and cater to varied learning styles
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and respectful communication
- Mentor students by providing constructive feedback, supporting their academic progress, and nurturing their confidence in language skills
- Incorporate creative writing, journalism, proofreading, and other engaging activities to enhance language proficiency
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best teaching practices
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting lessons and providing targeted tutoring as needed
- Organize and maintain assessment records, lesson plans, and student progress reports to ensure continuous improvement
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching English at a fully qualified level with relevant certifications or credentials
- Strong mentoring abilities to guide students academically and personally
- Excellent communication skills for clear instruction and constructive feedback
- Expertise in creative writing, journalism, proofreading, and other language arts disciplines
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment
- Organizational skills to plan lessons effectively and track student progress accurately
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special education needs or diverse learning requirements
- Proficiency in tutoring across subjects such as Math alongside English to support holistic student development
