Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Rainham
Pay: Starting at £100 per day
We are currently recruiting for experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant across the Rainham Area. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted, who highlighted the carefully planned curriculum encourages children to learn well and the staff have warm and trusting relationships with the pupils.
Responsibilities of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant:
- Teach pre-planned lessons to Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils when the teacher is absent
- Support pupils in their learning and assist with classroom preparation
- Organise and lead group activities for different pupil groups
- Follow the school's policies and guidelines
- Provide regular feedback to parents and staff members

Requirements of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
- Possess at least six months of direct experience working with children in an educational setting
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate, ensuring adherence to safeguarding standards
- Have the legal right to work in the UK with appropriate documentation
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students of diverse learning needs
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting children, particularly those with SEN and SEMH needs
- Work effectively as part of a team to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Be eligible to work in the UK
