Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining hygiene standards
- Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables or portioning supplies
- Serve meals to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Assist in organising supplies and stock levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and basic culinary techniques
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
