Durr Technik is a successful and well-established manufacturing business based near Bath. We are looking for a Production Technician to join our growing production team.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager and Technical Director, you will be responsible for assembling compressors, stations, sub-assemblies and related products to meet customer orders, while also supporting the servicing, maintenance and repair of customer equipment.
You will work from technical drawings, schematics and assembly instructions while maintaining the high-quality standards our customers expect.
Past experience of servicing machinery is a must
Key Responsibilities
· Assemble products and sub-assemblies to specification using assembly manuals and technical documentation.
· Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and assembly instructions.
· Service, maintain and repair compressors, systems and associated equipment.
· Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults and carry out repairs.
· Test products and equipment to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
· Support efficient production and on-time customer deliveries.
· Provide technical support to customers, both remotely and on-site when required.
· Attend customer sites from time to time to carry out servicing, fault finding, commissioning and problem-solving activities.
· Report health and safety concerns, near misses and unsafe practices.
· Continuously learn and contribute to process improvements.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
· Has experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, servicing or maintenance.
· Has a good understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
· Enjoys problem solving and fault finding.
· Is confident using hand tools and workshop equipment.
· Is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
· Is willing to occasionally travel to customer sites as part of the role.
· Can communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
· Is able to undertake a physically active role involving regular manual handling and lifting of components and equipment.
· Is comfortable working on their feet for a significant proportion of the working day.
· Can work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
· Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
