Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing delicious, balanced meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs and preferences
- Support food preparation activities, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Serve meals with care and professionalism, ensuring residents receive prompt and respectful service
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, following food safety regulations
- Help with storing ingredients properly and rotating stock to minimize waste
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods, contributing to smooth meal service operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly processes
- Familiarity with kitchen safety practices and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail when handling food and maintaining hygiene standards
