Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including cleaning vegetables and organising ingredients
- Support chefs with kitchen organisation, ensuring all equipment and utensils are clean and stored correctly
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to uphold hygiene standards
- Ensure the kitchen area is kept tidy and organised throughout the shift
- Support serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables and assisting with basic customer service tasks as needed
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
While previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates with an interest in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality are encouraged to apply. Skills that would benefit applicants include:
