Job Brief
- Provide Cover for driver holidays on both class1 & class 2 Vehicles
- Deliver and collect powered access machinery in a timely and professional manner
- Load, secure, and unload equipment in accordance with safety standards
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Ensure all transport documentation is completed accurately
- Provide basic operational guidance to customers when required
- Maintain high standards of customer service at all times
- Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and company policies
- Keep vehicles clean and in good working condition
- Willingness to assist in the depot Workshop preparing/PDI’ing kit (This will be minimal throughout the year.)
- Overtime and Saturday working may be necessary
About You
- Valid HGV Class 1/2 driving licence
- Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Previous experience in a driving or plant hire environment (desirable)
- Good knowledge of road transport regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic mechanical knowledge (advantageous)
- Motivated, with a positive, 'get-it-done' attitude
