Job Overview
Gentech Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing food production company based in Cookstown, who are currently recruiting Cook Operatives to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment, preparing high-quality food products with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow production schedules and work orders accurately
- Operate machinery and equipment safely (kettles, mixers, blenders, etc.)
- Weigh and prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications
- Monitor product quality (appearance, consistency, temperature)
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Record production data, including batch codes and completion times
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
- Report any safety or quality concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor
- Comply with food safety, allergen, and Health & Safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production is desirable but not essential
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable with a good work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
