Overview
We are seeking a Tree Surveyor who has exceptional reliability and attention to detail. The role involves traveling to various residential and commercial properties to capture vital tree and vegetation-related data, such as height, distance from property and species. You will capture this data using our proprietary mobile app that makes the process of noting down and submitting the data easy, quick and seamless.
This data will be used to produce comprehensive arborist reports for subsidence claims, helping property owners and insurers make informed decisions.
Since you submit the data required from site, there is no further office administration required from you once you get back home – the job is done!
We are looking for several roles throughout the country, to provide coverage UK wide.
About Us
Enviro Trees is a business providing managed arboriculture services, such as arborist and tree condition reports, as well as coordinating and managing any tree or vegetation work that may be required. We primarily service the insurance and risk management markets, although do have some B2C exposure.
We engage with a preferred network of consultants, surveyors and arborists across the UK to fulfil the reports and tree work, known as our 'Tree Partners'. We seek to engage with our Tree Partners through regular digital communication.
This role is geared towards somebody that has the time and flexibility to manage their own schedule with customers, but who can book and attend sites within 3 days of allocation. You must be able to follow a process and have great attention to detail to ensure nothing is missed on site before you leave.
Full training will be provided on all systems, as well as ensuring you are setup to receive job request in your local area only (as agreed with you, but ideally within 30-60 mins of your home location).
Responsibilities
- Visit properties to assess trees and vegetation potentially impacting building structures.
- Capture accurate measurements, including tree height, species identification (mobile app supports with species identification), and distance from damage to structures.
- Engage with the customer and provide a positive experience.
- Take photographs and document all relevant field observations.
- Communicate findings by submitting the data from site using the mobile app.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during site visits.
Requirements
- Experience in tree identification and/or arboriculture (formal qualification in arboriculture or a related field is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to record accurate field data.
- Comfortable working independently in outdoor environments.
- Basic knowledge of tree species.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to various locations (a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is essential).
- Familiarity with field data collection tools, such as measuring tapes, distance tools, and mobile apps.
Working Location & Times
- This is a fully remote position
- You will be paid on a per job basis
- We are unable to commit to a minimum number of jobs, but we are a rapidly growing business and anticipate to start with 5 per month, moving to 10-20 per month within the next 6 weeks, subject to performance
- Our approach is to have a small number of high quality people who receive as much work as they are comfortable with, rather than a larger pool of people that don't get too much work
- You will be expected to conform to specific service levels, such as confirming acceptance of a job within 1 day, book the job with the customer within 1 day, and attend site within 3 days of job offer (assuming you have accepted, and subject to customer availability).
If you're interested then please apply and ensure to answer the questions around why this role fits your circumstances both from a technical experience and availability perspective.

- Explain in your own words how your previous experience would ensure that you are able to capture the types of data we require on site using a mobile app, while also ensuring that you deliver a positive experience to the home owner while on site?
- How far are you willing to drive from your home location to do site data captures?
- How long do you anticipate you will have the same level of flexibility to receive and action job requests within the 3 day timeframe (subject to customer availability)?
