Casual Housekeeper – Aston Hall Hotel, Sheffield
Built in 1772 and rich in history, Aston Hall Hotel has been beautifully restored to combine timeless character with contemporary style. Set within 55 acres of stunning gardens and meadowland, our hotel offers a luxurious retreat just outside Sheffield, only one minute from Junction 31 of the M1 and on the doorstep of the Peak District.
Our facilities include a 50 bedroom hotel, Darcy's Restaurant, Byron's Lounge Bar, and Church View, our luxury four bedroom residence available for exclusive hire. We also host conferences, weddings, and corporate events, making every day unique and rewarding.
The Role
We are looking for a Casual Housekeeper to join our friendly and hardworking team. This is a casual position with no guaranteed or contracted hours, offering flexibility to work shifts as required to meet the needs of the business, including weekends and bank holidays.
As a member of our housekeeping team, you will play an essential role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest bedrooms and public areas to the highest standards.
- Carry out a range of cleaning duties, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or missing items to management.
- Respond to guest requests professionally and courteously.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and guest consumables.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
About You
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Friendly, professional, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Flexible and available to work shifts on an as-needed basis, including weekends and bank holidays.
