Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/ Electrical Engineer to carry out day to day inspections & repairs on our in house steel processing equipment & plant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical & electrical engineering principles and practices, with a focus on proactive repair and safety. This role involves working alongside processing managers & staff to keep machinery in good working order & keeping downtime to a minimum.
Duties
- Manage all mechanical & electrical requirements at site
- Daily walk round inspections of machinery & plant
- Troubleshooting/ Repairs & servicing
- Diagnostics to identify and resolve issues within electrical systems.
- Quick response to breakdown faults
- Organise any sub-contractor specialist repairs
- Create and maintain project documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals.
Requirements
- Qualifications in Electrical/ electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively within teams.
- Work well in small team & alone

Pay: £52,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
