About the Role:
Regent Care Recruitment is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our dynamic team, providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health conditions, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities across hospitals, supported living, and residential settings. We are looking for a proactive, caring individual with previous experience in the healthcare industry, ready to work as part of a close-knit team and deliver excellent customer service.
As a Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of patients by providing both physical and emotional support. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of nurses, doctors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for patients by accompanying them to appointments, events, and other activities.
- Work with patients, their families, and caregivers to assess and address individual needs.
- Assist in ensuring the needs of each patient are met through collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Participate in training programs to support the development of new staff members.
- Offer personal care services in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Ensure safety and well-being by adhering to MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) training and techniques when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in healthcare or support work, preferably in mental health, learning disabilities, or challenging behaviour settings.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent care and customer service.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare professionals.
- Mapa training (or willingness to undertake training).
- Compassionate, empathetic, and professional attitude.
