Overview
We are seeking a Wood Working Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating woodworking machinery, assembling staircases and components, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for woodworking to develop their skills within a professional setting. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting and possess a keen eye for detail to maintain safety and precision throughout all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate various woodworking machinery, including saws, drills, and sanders, ensuring safe and efficient use at all times.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, assemble, and finish staircases according to specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and workpieces to identify defects or issues requiring correction.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely, following health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Experience
(No experience necessary all training will be provide however the following is preferred)
- Proven experience in woodworking, fabrication, or assembly roles within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating woodworking machinery and tools.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Prior warehouse experience demonstrating ability to handle heavy lifting safely.
- Familiarity with assembly processes and attention to detail are highly valued qualities for this position.

Schedule
- Mon - Fri (40 hours)
- 7:00am - 3:30pm (w/ 30 a minute break)
- 28 days holiday (Inc, bank holidays and a 2 week period over our Christmas)
Pay: From £26,500.00 per year
