Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Cleaner or Helper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our nursery setting. This role is vital in ensuring the health and wellbeing of children by providing a hygienic space. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cleaning tasks efficiently and to high standards, contributing to a positive experience for children, staff, and visitors. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Carry out routine cleaning of nursery areas, including play zones, restrooms, and staff rooms
- Disinfect toys, furniture, and surfaces regularly to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and empty bins as necessary
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries to ensure availability at all times
- Assist with organising storage areas and maintaining cleaning equipment in good condition
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management
- Support staff with additional cleaning tasks during busy periods or special events
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and organisation skills
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards hygiene standards
- Comfortable working in a childcare environment and adhering to health and safety regulations
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, including early mornings or late shifts if required

Pay: £488.40-£1,297.01 per week
