Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and dignity
- Support individuals in following their personalized care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness
- Help with light household duties, including meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment
- Use your driving skills to safely transport clients to appointments or outings when required
- Communicate clearly with team members, residents, and family members to ensure coordinated and consistent care delivery
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and update care plans regularly to reflect changing needs
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Basic IT skills for documentation and updating care records efficiently
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving transportation responsibilities
- A caring attitude combined with excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with those you support
