Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (gross)

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team within a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong mechanical background who enjoys working in a fast-paced production setting and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical components and plant equipment using engineering drawings, hand tools, and workshop machinery.
- Diagnose and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime and ensure continuity of production.
- Carry out daily inspections and planned preventive maintenance activities.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and take accurate measurements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and report findings and corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing production efficiency.
- Work collaboratively as part of the maintenance team.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
Skills and Experience Required
- Technical qualifications and a strong background in mechanical maintenance.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems (essential).
- Experience with pumps and chemical dosing systems would be advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
