Waking Night Residential Support Worker – Children’s Homes (EBD)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for caring, resilient and motivated individuals to join our team as Waking Night Residential Support Workers in our children’s homes supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
About the Role:
As a Waking Night Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Support and monitor young people's nightly and morning routine
- Provide guidance and emotional support to young people aged 8–17
- Support children through challenging behaviours with patience, understanding and therapeutic approaches
- Help young people develop life skills, confidence and independence
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, positive and clean living environment
- Work as part of a dedicated team, following care plans and safeguarding procedures
- Remain awake and alert throughout the night to ensure safety and wellbeing of the young people. There will always be another member present in the home to support you.
What We’re Looking For:
- Empathy, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting young people
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Experience within care, SEN, or youth work is desirable but not essential – full training provided
- A full driving licence is an advantage
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
- Aged 21 years or over
