Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake machines to produce precise sheet metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, mechanical knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality output. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate an amada CNC press brake machines according to specifications and technical drawings
- Programme machines to achieve desired bend angles and dimensions
- Operate the press brake safely and efficiently during production runs
- Monitor machine operation, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Use hand tools and tooling to assist with setup and minor repairs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain organised work areas and record production data accurately
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work, or related manufacturing roles
- Familiarity with grinding, welding, and assembly processes is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, tooling, and machinery used in sheet metal fabrication
- Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations during setup
- Experience with CNC programming software is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to operate hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively
- Prior experience working with sheet metal components in a fast-paced environment is desirable
