Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hotel operations and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the establishment, while also managing and training housekeeping staff.
Duties
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations, in our two hotels in Canterbury ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Develop and implement housekeeping schedules to ensure efficient coverage throughout the establishment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery for guests.
Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or hotel industry is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and guests.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a team to achieve common goals.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safety protocols is advantageous.
- Proficient in time management with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
