Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to groundworks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role is essential in supporting the construction team and contributing to the successful completion of various projects. Must have own tools, PPE and transport
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of sites for construction, including clearing debris and levelling ground.
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Carry out excavation work, including digging trenches and foundations as required.
- Support the installation of roadways, pavements, and other surfaces as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly after use.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and to specification.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is essential
- Strong physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration and communication.
- A commitment to health and safety practices on site is crucial.
