About us
APS Packaging is a family-run manufacturer based in Bideford, founded in 2000 and now one of the South West's leading packaging companies. From our 300,000 sq ft site we design and make wooden pallets, crates and export packaging for customers across the UK, with our own delivery fleet and around 70 staff. We hold ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, run the site on solar and biomass energy, and we're growing.
About the role
You'll be at the centre of our sales office - a first point of contact for our customers and a lead for the office team. You'll take calls and emails, enter sales orders into our system, prepare delivery notes and works orders, raise purchase orders and keep suppliers on track. You'll work alongside our sales and production teams so that what we promise a customer is what actually happens. Full training on our products and systems is provided.

What you'll do
- Answer incoming calls and emails as the friendly first point of contact
- Enter and process sales orders accurately
- Prepare delivery notes and works orders
- Raise purchase orders and follow up with suppliers
- Keep customers updated on orders and deliveries
- Support and organise the office team so the day runs smoothly
What you'll bring
- Experience in sales coordination, admin or customer service - a manufacturing background helps but is not essential
- Confidence on the phone and in writing
- Accuracy and attention to detail - orders have to be right
- Confident IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to lead a small team
Hours and location
Monday to Friday, full time, based at APS Packaging, Chubb Road, Bideford, Devon EX39 4HE.
