Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker / Kitchen Maker to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bespoke cabinetry and kitchen fabrication, demonstrating precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. This role involves working on custom projects from initial design through to installation, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout. The successful applicant will contribute to creating functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen units and cabinetry tailored to client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate customised cabinets and kitchen units using a variety of materials and techniques
- Assemble components with precision, ensuring all parts fit seamlessly
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment safely and efficiently
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to detailed plans and specifications
- Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, or painting to achieve desired surface quality
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure specifications are met accurately
- Assist in the installation of completed cabinetry on-site, ensuring secure fitting and alignment
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry specialising in cabinetry or kitchen manufacturing
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, drills, and screwdrivers
- Skilled in operating power tools including routers, sanders, and drills safely
- Strong knowledge of joinery techniques for durable construction
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and detailed plans accurately
- Experience with roofing, plumbing, masonry or electrical work is advantageous but not essential
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with construction work
