Facilities Resourcing Limited are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management client for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a busy commercial site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and delivering high standards of maintenance within a professional commercial environment. Working as part of an established on-site engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring building services remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
The Role
As the Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair and operation of electrical systems across the site. You will undertake both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, support statutory compliance activities and contribute to the efficient operation of the building.
Working closely with the Engineering Supervisor and wider maintenance team, you will help deliver a first-class facilities management service while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Inspect, test, maintain and repair electrical infrastructure and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Maintain power distribution systems, lighting installations, emergency lighting and associated plant equipment.
- Complete routine inspections and statutory compliance checks.
- Ensure all electrical systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and testing documentation.
- Update work orders and complete tasks using the CAFM system.
- Assist with electrical installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to maintain excellent service standards.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Previous experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.
- Experience using CAFM systems is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
