The Role:
Are you looking to kickstart a career in logistics and warehousing? We are seeking to recruit two Trainee Forklift Drivers to join our busy Packhouse teams.
No previous forklift experience or licence is required. We will fully fund and support you to gain your professional Forklift Licence in-house! You will be fully paid your starting rate of £14.27 per hour from your very first day on the job, even while you are completing your training.
Working in our modern, BRC-accredited chilled factory environment, your duties will progress as you qualify:
- Load and unload lorries and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Ensure fresh produce is dispatched right-first-time and on schedule.
- Complete digital forklift safety checks and maintain correct paperwork.
- Utilize our advanced ERP scanning equipment to track and store finished produce. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workspace in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Follow all company food safety, hygiene, and health and safety policies.

Our Investment in You (Fully Funded Training Agreement):
Gilfresh Produce Ltd will pay 100% of your professional Forklift Licence training costs up front. To safeguard this investment, successful candidates will sign a standard Training Repayment Agreement prior to commencing the training course.
In line with our Company Handbook, the cost of the training is subject to a sliding-scale repayment only if you choose to leave the company or are dismissed due to conduct within your first year:
- Resignation/Dismissal for fault within 0 to 6 months of training completion: Repayment of 100% of course costs.
- Resignation/Dismissal for fault within 6 to 12 months of training completion: Repayment of 50% of course costs.
- Resignation after 12 months: 0% repayment (the investment is completely written off by the company).
