Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Coventry, West Midlands, UK
Company Overview: We are a leading SME specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced Fire and Safety Systems for the motorsport industry and the MOD. Our innovative solutions ensure the highest levels of safety and performance for our clients, ranging from amateur racers to professional Motorsport teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Pick customer orders accurately using pick lists or warehouse management systems.
· Check products for accuracy, quality, and quantity before dispatch.
· Pack goods securely to prevent damage during transportation.
· Monitor dispatch schedules to ensure orders leave on time.
· Assist with stock counts and inventory control activities.
· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe dispatch area.
· Support other warehouse or operational activities during busy periods as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse/dispatch environment
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required.
- Qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent; specific certifications such as Health & Safety or Food Safety may be beneficial depending on the role.
- Ability to operate a counterbalance forklift
